For the next 4 weeks, the Men in Black and Cadet Choir will be learning 5 vocabulary terms a week, each taken directly from our Choir Festival rubric. Each Friday, they will be quizzed on the 5 terms for that week.
Week 1: Quiz Friday, 10/11
Tone - The way a syllable of a word is sung in terms of shape and placement.
Resonance – Amplification of a voice caused by sympathetic vibration in a singer’s body.Vitality – Joyous and energetic force that distinguishes the living from the nonliving.
Focus – A concentrated and unified quality.
Blend – A mixture or combination of voices.

Intonation – Accuracy of pitch in performing music.
Chord – Two or more musical notes played or sung simultaneously.
Rhythm – A particular pattern of beats in a piece of music
Energy – A lively or powerful effort.

Attack – The decisive or energetic way in which a singer begins a note being sung.
